Why should I care?

To gain a competitive edge and for other reasons of scalability and flexibility the cloud is now worth serious consideration for hosting a growing number of web applications.

After some considerable investigation Savantis are now fully engaged in implementing cloud computing as part of our hosting operations.

More specifically we are utilising Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and other Amazon Web Services to augment our Ruby on Rails hosting.
