Introduction
The Olivetti PR2 Plus printer is a popular printer utilised for bank teller applications. It's the latest model in the PR2 range. Restyled and introduced in 2007 it is backwardly compatible for applications written for its predecessors the PR2 and PR2E.
What does the printer do?
In the UK the retail banking sector is the main user of this printer. Banks, building societies and credit unions use it as a single sheet flat bed printer. Documents that are commonly processed include : passbooks, cheques, receipt slips, withdrawal/transfer forms and cashier balance sheets. The PR2 printer is also used in local authorities and embassies
The PR2 Plus comes equipped with the following connectivity interfaces as standard:
- RS232 serial
- IEEE 1284 parallel
- USB 2.0
An optional expansion slot allows for an additional RS232 serial port to connect 2 x workstations directly to the printer. Programmatically applications can also be coded to share a single PR2 Plus printer connected to 1 workstation with another workstation on the same LAN.

Printer shipping charges in the UK : £35 for a single unit. For shipping outside of the UK and cost of shipping more than 5 units please contact us for a quote.
LIMITED WARRANTY
This warranty extended by Savantis for Olivetti PR2 (Plus and PR2E model) printers only.
Olivetti PR2 printer faulty on arrival
If a PR2 printer is reported as faulty to Savantis within 5 working days of receipt, and when the PR2 printer is returned to Savantis complete in it's original packaging, a replacement PR2 printer will be supplied within 10 working days of receipt of the original PR2 printer by Savantis.
Olivetti PR2 printer damaged in transit
Savantis request that any PR2 printer damaged in transit is reported to Savantis within 2 working days of receipt. If a PR2 printer is visibly damaged on receipt, please make a note of the damage and enclose with the printer for return in its original packaging. Once the damaged PR2 printer has been received back to Savantis, a replacement PR2 printer will be supplied within 10 working days of receipt of the original PR2 printer by Savantis.
Olivetti PR2 printer faulty within warranty period
The warranty period for new PR2 printers supplied by Savantis is for 1 year from original delivery date. For re-conditioned PR2 printers the warranty period is 30 days from original delivery date only. If a PR2 printer as reported as faulty to Savantis after 5 working days of original delivery date, but before the end of the warranty period, then the printer is eligible for off-site warranty repairs free of charge. This must first be returned to Savantis for examination. Where it is deemed by Savantis that the fault has not been caused entirely by a mechanical failure of the printer as originally delivered, then the printer can only be repaired at a cost (parts, labour and shipping) agreed prior to any repair being performed and the printer returned.
Shipping charges of goods back to Savantis are not included. This is the responsibility of the buyer. Goods returned must be done so in original packaging or other packaging deemed suitable by the carrier engaged by the buyer for this purpose.
